THE STORY
In Sicily, limoncello isn't just an after-dinner drink – it's a story told through generations, often starting in a family kitchen. This inspired our exploration of how to reimagine this cherished tradition for a new generation of drinkers, transforming limoncello from an end-of-meal ritual into a celebration starter.
THE CHALLENGE
How do you modernise a traditional drink without losing its soul? Our design study needed to envision a brand that could sit confidently next to contemporary favourites like Aperol Spritz, while honouring limoncello's authentic kitchen-table origins.
OUR APPROACH
We found our inspiration in a Sicilian family story – where a matriarch crafted her limoncello in a tile-adorned kitchen. These ceramic tiles became our creative springboard. We created a modern interpretation of traditional Sicilian tile patterns, featuring a graphic dissected lemon motif that's both decorative and symbolic. The vibrant color palette captures the essence of Sicily itself – bright yellow lemons against summer sky blues.
